When we get one wrong, it is written down here

We read other people’s pages for a living, so we will misread some of them. What a reader is entitled to is not perfection but the record: what the value was, what it should have been, and when it changed.

The published record

No correction has been published yet.

Not a claim of accuracy — the dispute route is new and nothing has come through it. This log is here before it holds anything deliberately: a corrections page that appears only once there is a flattering first entry is worth nothing.

What counts as a correction

A value we published that was wrong when we published it — misread from the page, attributed to the wrong product, mislabelled as spot when it was on-demand, or carried a memory size the vendor never offered.

A price that has simply moved since is not a correction. Vendors change prices without telling anyone, which is most of the reason this site exists; that movement is recorded in changes, where it belongs. Conflating the two would let us quietly reclassify our own mistakes as market movement.

What we publish about one

  • The value as published, and the value it became.
  • The source we read, and the date we read it.
  • What went wrong — the extractor, the source page, or our judgement.
  • Who raised it, unless they would rather not be named.

The old value is not deleted. Nothing on this site is hard-deleted; a superseded reading is marked as such and stays legible, because a reader who cited the old figure needs to be able to find out what happened to it.

If you think something is wrong

You do not need an account, a relationship with us, or to be the vendor. Tell us which number and show the page that says otherwise — we re-read it and publish what we find, including when the answer is that we were right.

Corrections are the point of the mechanism, not an embarrassment to it. A directory that is never corrected is one nobody is checking.

How figures are gathered in the first place is on methodology. Last updated 16 September 2026.
